Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup masa harina
  • 2 oz Mexican chocolate
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • ½ cup sugar adjust to taste

Method
 

  1. In a medium pot, bring water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Whisk together masa harina and milk in a small bowl until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the masa mixture to the boiling water while whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
  4. Stir in the Mexican chocolate and cinnamon stick until melted and well combined.
  5. Sweeten with sugar according to your taste preference.
  6. Remove from heat, discard the cinnamon stick, ladle into mugs, and enjoy warm.
