Ingredients

Steak and Potatoes
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Wash the baby potatoes and mince the garlic.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the skillet to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and the halved potatoes. Cook for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic and beef broth to the skillet, scraping any bits from the bottom, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Return the rested steak to the skillet, spooning some sauce over it while cooking together for a few minutes until heated through.
  6. Finish with fresh herbs before serving.
