  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
Lemon Beet Hummus
  • 1 medium beet, roasted and peeled
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
Avocado Hummus
  • 1 ripe avocado peeled and pitted
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Method
 

Prepare Classic Chickpea Hummus
  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
Prepare Lemon Beet Hummus
  1. In a food processor, combine roasted beet, chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
Prepare Avocado Hummus
  1. In a food processor, combine avocado, chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
Serve
  1. Transfer each hummus to a serving platter, arranging them side by side.
  2. Serve with fresh vegetables, pita bread, or crackers.
